SFL INDIA INKS CANADIAN TV DEAL

Recently,  it was announced that Canadian-based MMA fighter Kultar "Black Mamba" Gill has signed a four fight contract with SFL, cementing the most prominent fighter of Indian ethnicity as a staple in the India-pased promotion.  Now SFL announces that his Canadian fans will be able to watch him on home turf as well.  SFL has formed a partnership with Canada's Fight Network and will begin airing SFL events as soon as July 19th.

Fighting out of American Top Team, UFC Heavyweight Title Challenger and vet of DREAM, PRIDE and Strikeforce Jeff 'the Snowman' Monson (46 - 13- 1) is considered one of the world's top grapplers. Two-time Abu Dhabi Combat Club Submission Wrestling World Champion and No Gi Brazilian Jiu Jitsu World Champion, Monson also holds the Heavyweight titles in the International Sport Karate Association and the Strength & Honor Championship. A BJJ Blackbelt and submission artist, Monson also holds a Masters Degree in Psychology.

With victories over Roy Nelson, Sergei Kharitonov, Mark Kerr and Ricco Rodriguez, Monson is an impressive addition to the SFL Heavyweight division.  SFL CEO Ken Pavia said: 'Jeff has achieved a high level of success fighting all over the world. We are very excited to add him to our roster and test him in our elite HW division. He is always entertaining and is one of the true personalities of the sport."

SUPER FIGHT LEAGUE 3: RESULTS, RAVES AND RILES

On Sunday evening May 6th, Super Fight League held its third installment of what has become the most cultish MMA event on the planet.  Even twenty hours before the fight, viewers were logging onto their Youtube page expecting to see the pageantry and coming up shorthanded due to not understanding the time difference.  And as the stadium finally opened to all the free ticket holders, the mayhem ensued.

On the SFL 3 India card will be K1 and Dream veteran fighter Kultar "Black Mamba" Singh Gill who will take on American mma fighterBrandon Kesler. Kultar has surprised everyone by taking this fight at middlewight since he has always been fighting K1 as a lightweight. Kesler built like a tank is a bjj brown belt from The United States and just coming off a hard fought loss at a Thailand mma promotion against japanese mma and ex-Pride fighter Daiju Takase. There is no doubt that this will be one of the most exciting fights of the entire SFL 3 card.

Headlining the fight-card will be the SFL debut of one of the most explosive and exciting young heavyweights on the planet today, American Todd Duffee. Renowned within the MMA community for possessing the fastest KO in UFC history. Duffy's appeal lies in a record that guarantees excitement; every fight he has ever been involved in has ended via knockout.

Up against Duffee is popular UK based South African Neil Grove, boasting an equally exciting record of all 11 wins coming via KO or TKO. Grove is counting on using experience to his advantage and is looking for the KO over Duffee. Both men will be looking to showcase their skills and make an impact with their SFL debuts in a classic crossroads fight.

Kelly v Healy (LW)
The big name fights do not stop there, as also on the card is Englishman Paul Kelly, a noted lightweight fighter famous for putting on exciting bouts thanks to his tenacity and kickboxing skills. A former three time winner of the UFC's fight of the night award, Kelly specializes in enthralling the crowd. He will get every chance to do so against Ryan Healy. Healy, an aggressive fighter with 10 knockouts to his name is promising a superior ground game following an intensive camp with Team Quest.

COLORS acquires TV rights for Super Fight League
~ Super Fight League kicks off on Sunday, March 11th 2012 in Mumbai ~


Mumbai, March 9th 2012: COLORS collaborates with Raj Kundra and Sanjay Dutt of Super Fight League (SFL); the channel acquires Broadcast rights to telecast Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). Having forayed into the sports entertainment genre with Ring Ka King, COLORS now marks its dominance in the alternative sports entertainment genre by adding the Super Fight League to its kitty. The Super Fight League is India's first professionally organized Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighting league that kicks off on Sunday, March 11, 2012 in Mumbai and will be telecasted on COLORS.


Building on the growing interest in alternative and non-cricket sports entertainment, a unique format has been adopted for the Super Fight League.
